Each fused glass creation takes almost a whole day in the kiln! First the glass is cut and the pattern is designed. The next step is the fusing - each piece stays in the kiln for 15 hours, where it reaches 1465 degrees Fahrenheit. In the kiln, the glass is hardened through a process called "annealing."
To obtain the curvature in some of the plates and bowls, the glass is then slumped in the kiln to 1250 degrees for 6 hours.
